Outlook 09/26

A slew of upcoming speeches by Fed officials will be closely monitored by investors following last week's more-hawkish-than-expected outlook from the central bank. Chairwoman Janet Yellen is up first today, speaking on "Inflation, Uncertainty, and Monetary Policy" before the National Association for Business Economics. Also speaking in the days ahead is Vice Chair Stanley Fischer, in what may be his final public speech before he retires next month.

Plan: Yesterday /ES market left a bimodal profile (YLIS 2493.50) Watching the big picture, we're moving within 2485-2507 auction range, drawing a bimodal (CLIS 2497). Overnight is balanced moving within yesterday's value, so we've 2 options:

A) If the market push above CLIS 2497 with cash volume rising, try to be a buyer leaning on 2497-2496.50 towards ONH 2498.25 YHOD 2500 and Gap 2505. Failure to take out ONH 2498.25 early is signal of weakness and opens the gate for major sell off.

B) If market moves below YLIS 2493.50 with cash volume falling, try to be a seller leaning on 2493.50-2493 towards YVAL 2488 and Edge 2485. Failure to breakdown ONL 2492.75 early is signal of a potential breakout above yesterday's value.

Tips: Try to be buyer/seller' above/below key levels means to watch volume at price closely. You've to see volume at price increasing, drawing a peak, and leaving a LVN behind to lean on that. You've to set your stops on the other side of that LVN, leaving some room (2-3 ticks).
